The investiture ceremony of the newly elected office bearers of the SDM Alumni Association, along with the scholarship distribution programme, was held on March 14. The programme was inaugurated by Sri Basavaraj, Honorable Principal District and Sessions Judge of Dakshina Kannada, who remarked that an alumni association acts as a bridge between alumni and the institution. Sri Ivan D’Souza attended as the Guest of Honour, and Sri H. V. Raghavendra, President of the Mangalore Bar Association, was the Chief Guest. Advocate P. P. Hegde, former Chairman of KSBC, Bengaluru, distributed scholarships to deserving students. The new logo of the Alumni Association was released by Sri Rohith Rao, Advocate, Supreme Court of India, and the oath of office was administered by Dr Devaraj K., Former President of the Alumni Association. Dr Tharanath delivered the presidential address, while Sri Raghavendra Rao welcomed the gathering and Sri Dinakar Shetty outlined the aims and objectives. Dr Annapoorna Shet announced the scholarship awardees, Sri Ashwin proposed the vote of thanks, and the programme was compered by Sri Pushparaj K.
